Orscheln Products designs and produces a wide range of mechanical control systems for general aviation, experimental aircraft, helicopter, spacecraft, and military applications. Orscheln operates out of facilities located in Moberly, Missouri, Holmesville, Ohio and Rubgy, England. All aircraft controls are manufactured at our corporate headquarters in Moberly, Missouri.
Orscheln has experienced sales, engineering, quality, customer service and manufacturing resources dedicated to the design and production of aircraft and military controls. Highly skilled professionals build these control cables in a dedicated manufacturing cell. The applications for these cables call for precise tolerance, plus low slide forces and backlash. From initial design through prototype, certification and production, we stand ready with an experienced staff to help with all your needs.
We have extensive experience working with FAA-PMA assemblies, as well as completing FAA and Company conformities. Orscheln has constructions that meet the requirements of FAR 23.1141 (2000°F flame test) and FAR 25.853 (burn test). We maintain a business system in compliance with Title 14 CFR, Part 21 subject to FAA inspections. Orscheln has experience completing engineering development programs and validating them to MIL-STD-810 and RTCA DO-160.
We understand the tight packaging spaces available in aircraft design and specialize in custom designed systems to meet the requirements of each individual customer.
Aircraft control cables were added to our product offering in 1998 with the acquisition of Acco Industrial Controls. Through this acquisition Orscheln gained aircraft cable manufacturing expertise that dates back to the late 1930’s.
